Terms of trade

Brugtebrætspil.dk is a marketplace between private individuals. We don't own the games, but we hold the money until the buyer has confirmed the game is as described.

The text below describes how we actually intend to run the marketplace. The final legal wording is being finalized with an advisor and may be adjusted before launch. We update the date at the bottom whenever something changes.

Who trades with whom

The agreement for a game is made between buyer and seller. We facilitate contact, handle payment along the way, and step in if a trade goes wrong. We are not a party to the purchase agreement itself and do not own the games listed.

You must be at least 18 to create a profile and sell. You may only list games that you own yourself and can legally resell.

Payment and buyer protection

The buyer pays the platform. The amount is held back until the buyer has received the game and confirmed it matches the listing. Only then is the amount paid out to the seller.

If the buyer does not confirm within the deadline stated in the order confirmation, the amount is released automatically unless the buyer has reported a case.

Fee

It's free to create a listing. Once a trade is completed the platform takes 8 % commission of the sale price. The fee is deducted from the seller's payout — sell for DKK 200 and you are paid DKK 184. Your payout is always shown as soon as you create the listing. The commission goes solely to developing and maintaining the platform. If you complete 30 trades or sell for more than EUR 2,000 in a calendar year, we are required to report your sales to the Danish tax authorities under the EU DAC7 rules, and we will collect the required details from you first.

Description, condition and shipping

The seller is responsible for correctly stating edition, included expansions, condition of game and box, language, and any defects. Shrink wrap, unpunched tokens and card sleeves are indicated in the dedicated fields, not just in free text.

The game must be shipped securely packaged no later than seven business days after the trade is confirmed. The seller bears the risk of shipping until the buyer has received the package.

If something is wrong

If the game is not as described, or doesn't arrive, the buyer reports the case before the amount is released. We collect documentation from both parties and decide on a full or partial refund. Our decision does not prevent you from filing a complaint with the Danish Complaint Board or pursuing the matter through the courts.

Right of withdrawal

Purchases between two private consumers are not covered by the Consumer Contracts Act's 14-day right of withdrawal. If you trade with a professional seller, the ordinary rules apply and this will be stated in the listing. The buyer protection above applies in all cases.

Conduct and closing of profiles

We may remove listings and close profiles for misleading descriptions, attempts to conduct trades outside the platform to avoid buyer protection, or harassment of other users. Amounts in ongoing trades are settled according to the section above.

Changes

We may change the terms with reasonable notice. Trades already entered into are settled according to the terms that applied at the time of purchase.
